DOHA, Qatar, 13 October 2025: Q Life, the cultural platform under the State of Qatar’s International Media Office (IMO), is delighted to announce the return of Match for Hope in 2026. On Friday, 30th January, the iconic 45,000-seater Ahmed bin Ali Stadium will host an unforgettable event bringing together some of the world’s most influential content creators and football legends for an important cause.
This edition marks the final showdown between the two teams, each having won one of the previous two matches, to determine who will wear the crown of the ultimate Match for Hope Champion. Fans can expect an exhilarating contest as both sides vie for glory.
The 2026 event promises to be the most impactful yet. In the 2024 and 2025 editions, generous donors, partners and members of the public came together to raise more than $19.5 million (QR 71 million) for charity. These vital contributions are driving transformative Education Above All projects, supporting out-of-school children in Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Nigeria, Rwanda, Sudan, Pakistan, Mali, Tanzania/Zanzibar, and Qatar.

About Match for Hope
Match for Hope combines the power of sport with the influence of the world’s biggest creators and football legends to raise funds to give disadvantaged people and communities hope for a better future. For the past two years, world-famous creators and legendary ex-professional footballers have competed in an 11-a-side showdown at one of Qatar’s state-of-the-art World Cup venues. All the proceeds from the event have gone to Education Above All (EAA) Foundation to raise awareness and support for the quality education of out-of-school children.
