The inaugural Match for Hope took place in February 2024 in front of over 34,000 spectators at the Ahmad bin Ali Stadium in Qatar.
Donations were allocated to EAA projects to support more than 70,000 out-of-school-children in six countries: Palestine, Sudan, Mali, Rwanda, Tanzania, and Pakistan.
Team Chunkz emerged victorious in a 7-5 victory over Team AboFlah. Team Chunkz was managed by legendary Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, who took charge of World Cup stars including Roberto Carlos, Eden Hazard, and David Villa, as well as content creators including Speed, Harry Pinero, AJ Shabeel, and Angry Ginge.
Former Chelsea and Juventus manager Antonio Conte took charge of Team AboFlah, which included legends Kaka, Didier Drogba, Claude Makelele, and Adel Khamis, along with content creators such as Sharky, Thogden, Danny Aarons, Samy Chaffai, and Caspar Lee.
